Sending out wedding info in an email???

Recommended Posts

Lisa- If you do go with wedorama, be sure to get the discounted price through the knot. sorry if someone already said that. I didn't reread all the messages.

Michelle- Your website is great. I really like the welcome message. I've been struggling to write something similar for my front page. Mind if I adapt yours for my intro?

We sent an evite. The great thing about that is that people are used to responding which greatly helped us know who was in, maybe, or no so we could plan our room blook accordingly.

The feedback we received from people was that they appreciated having information early relative to:

-Date (obvious)

-Hotel and cost (so they could research)

-High level overview on transportation (is it easy to get to the hotel from the airport)

People didn't get to planned activities until literally the week before the wedding. Feel free to let people know that you will have more information about things to do while in Cabo and things you will be doing (spa day, golf outing, etc.) as you get closer.

We sent that information out via email as well as included in our formal invitations.

Are your guests visiting your wedding website?

I was surprised when I checked our web statistics that only 4 of 65 invitees (including my mom and my dad)actually went to our website. They responded to our emails so I know they were interested in getting information, but I was so frustrated when they all kept contacting me with the same questions and I kept saying, "Well, as I said before and in our emails, all this information is on our website."

Thanks for the great tips, Natasha! We do not have our website up and I really want to get information out ASAP! Evite is a good option, however, I'm wondering if people will be confused as to where to RSVP...the evite or the website--I like the multiple RSVP features wedorama offers? I think I'm just going to send out an email with the gen'l travel info (ie., get your passports NOW!) travel/hotel info and add updates to activities and such later, as you recommend. I haven't checked wedorama but I'm assuming I can print out a newsletter for those invitees who really do not have easy access to a computer (I guess the phone works as well!)

Thanks again! Lisa

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
