Iberostar Rose Hall Suites Review (with wedding info)

Recommended Posts

Thanks for the review Maureen! When we went to visit the Suites in September we also had to wait a while to check in. We got there early (around 1) and they said to come back at about 2:30, but then the room ended up not being ready until 3:30 sad.gif I wasn't too bothered by it but I don't want that to happen on a larger scale for our guests. I am wondering if it would help to request an early check-in for those whose flights get in to Montego Bay earlier.

That's great to hear that the restaurants at the Beach are open even though the resort is closed (or at least the one Japanese restaurant is). When we were there, the occupancy was really low and Miranda Hill was closed for lunch, so I'm glad to hear the food is good!

I'm a little confused on what is a standard suite and which are the oceanview suites...I remember seeing a brochure that said about 240 of the rooms are standard and about 50 are upgrades, so based on looking at the layout I figured that the oceanview were the ones that you see the pool and the ocean when you look straight ahead (the ones that are above the lobby). And I guessed that the standard were the ones that you see the ocean to the side, and straight ahead would either be the pool or the resort next door. If those are actually ocean-view also, do you know which ones would be standard?

I totally agree on the vibe there - it's perfect for weddings and is really beautiful, but afterward we'll want to go somewhere else with more of a laid-back Jamaican resort vibe for the honeymoon.

Thanks Maureen, you rock! All the info was extremely helpful. I am a Oct 2010 bride, I have decided to change my resort from beaches negril to Iberostar Rose Hall Suites. The wedding packages/reception soooooo much more affordable, but still doing honeymoon at sandals negril. I agree I want a more laid back place to relax after the wedding. I appreciate all the time you put in your review. Congrats and Best Wishes!!!!

Hi Maureen,

I am most likely considering having my wedding at Iberostar Rose hall Suites..

I am soooo indecisive soo it is extremely hard for me to pick the resort. Which resort do you like the best. How did you like Riu? Looking forward to hearing about your experience this weekend. Talk to you soon.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
