I have a question.  I was under the assumption you pick the restaurant once you get there.  I haven't picked anything at all and I thought you picked the flowers and the restaurant, the location, everything when you're there.  So I haven't done anything.  Do I have to?  YIKES!!!!!

Even thuogh you brought your own flowers did you get a chance to look at the ones that come with the wedding package?  Is there really a room upgrade like the wedding package states?

akua:

we got our room upgrade through our travel agent who automatically did it because we have 50 guests booking through her.

and dont worry about it, yes you are right, you can pick everything as far as decorations, flowers, location, etc. when you get there. no need to worry about it now :-)

I get very quick responses from Beverly's assistent Chandlyn, she is very reliable and usually gets back to me in 48 hours.

this is her email address:

Thank you ladies so much.  I'm just so happy to help everyone out. I too was in your shoes and I was so worried and was so unsure of how everything will go.  Just happy to know that I can help you ladies out.  :)

Once we arrived we met with Beverly and went over everything, You get flowers with I think any of the packages you pick, but I wouldn't worry about a thing.  Beverly will take care of it.

All of you, I know your wedding will be beautiful.  :)

Hello ladies! I am looking at all of the different options for resorts but keep coming back to Iberostar and Gran Bahia yet my only concern is the cost for the actual wedding as we will likely have 50+ guests so I am not finding a lot of info on how much people actually pay...the travel packages will vary for sure.

Any help or ideas you have would be sooooooo appreciated! I have been reading threads for 3 days and my eyes are going wonky lol! It is hard to keep track of what you have read ;-) I'm a newbie at this obviously so it has been occupying loads of my time :-)

I just realized you can only send 2 PMs on here per day so here is my private email addy is crusherkc@yahoo.ca  as I just as

Just in case you don't want to put $$$ out there!!!

PS: For Gran Bahia brides, how was the beach and did your guests have enough to do? We don't want to be stepping on our guests all week!!

Thank you so much in advance!! Kari from Saskatoon, SK Canada :-)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
