Speaking of the whole "blood work" thing, anyone know what that all entails? It makes me nervous.
Amanda...

I don't really know what it all entails...but I know that we have to get there at least 2 business days prior to the wedding and I think they just take blood and it probably only takes like 10-15 min...

My WC said that if we fly in on the afternoon of that wed then she can arrange for us to get the blood work done that same day before 6:00pm...

If you didn't want to do it and it makes you nervous you can get married at home before or after you come and then you don't have to do the legal ceremony in Mexico and you don't have to do the blood work...just an option. I didn't want to do this but alot of the girls here are doing this/have done this...

maybe someone else can give us more specifics on the whole blood work details....

We are flying 7 days before the wedding. The guests arrive on the Sunday before the wedding on Friday. The entire group flies out the Sunday after the wedding (so they're there for an entire week). We did have it so everyone left the day after the wedding, but my mom pointed out to me that some guests might have early flights out the next day and would have to bail out of the wedding early - kind of defeats the purpose! IF Aaron and I weren't flying out somewhere else for our honeymoon for two weeks, I'd stay at least one more week in Cabo - for sure!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
