I would LOVE to find someone in the Cancun area (preferably from MAC) to come to the resort to do my make-up. Believe it or not, I was considering flying in a MAC make-up artist from Atlanta. Buying a resort day pass beats the heck out of paying for a vacation for someone who I don't really know. Exception: the photographer - the photos are just too darn important!

Me Too!

I'm going to do a few trials first to make sure the colours look ok in sunlight, take some test photos to see how it all shows up, and time how long it all takes to put on....maybe even go for a light jog to see how it all holds up to a bit of activity.

Here is from an original post that I did- I loved loved my make-up artist. People raved all day long about my make-up.. and that is coming from big city (LA and SF) girls with pretty high expectations:)! You can find a full review of him and see my pictures from my original wedding review. But he was the best!!!!! I wish that he was more widely known on this forum.. a true and rare gem! I'm sure you could find him through a request from your resort or the YazminGonzalez website. The website is in spanish but I believe there is a way to send an email or request on the website (my wedding coordinator had set it up for me). Their website is Yazmín González

I have to give a HUGE shout-out to the hair and make-up artist that I used for my wedding, Sergio from Yazmin Gonzalez. He was the best find!!!! I even had paid for a trial run the day I flew in- it was completely not needed but helped my piece of mind. I believe that for the trial run plus the day of the wedding it was 330 total. He came to the hotel for both days, took so much time to make sure it was exactly what I wanted and the day of the wedding everyone RAVED about how fabulous my hair and make-up turned out. If you have any questions please let me know...but thumbs up all around for Sergio.

NaM, I just hired Fernando for my makeup and hair for my April 2011 wedding in Cancun.  Just watched your wedding phots from DelSol, I have to say you were one of the most beautiful brides.  Your photographers did a great job, I only hope my wedding is 1/2 as beautiful as yours was.  Thanks for sharing

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
