Anyone else wait 5 months for photos?

Recommended Posts

Yes heather it is. I know he does great work... But 5 months in my opinion is entirely too long. It does not take that long to do photos and I keep getting excuses from him. Getting EXTREMELY frustrated and dont feel like this is fair at all considering how much $$ we paid for these and how long we have patiently been waiting.

Hi Lauren - I got married a week after you and am still awaiting photos from Juan Carlos as well. However, we were prepared for this wait as his contracts says it will be 3 1/2 -4 months before you get pics and I had read on the forum that he often takes longer than others.

I can appreciate your frustration, we are anxious to get pics too, but like I said, we expected that we'd get pics in the 4-5 month range from him. Of course, 5 months is only two weeks away for us too : ) I got an update from him last week - has Juan Carlos at least given you an estimated time frame? He's usually very responsive to emails.

Lauren, I hired JC for my photographer as well. Please remember that Juan does more then one wedding a week (usually) and if he takes 2000 photos (which isn't uncommon) then it's going to take him along time to go through them all and edit. I know it's frustrating to wait, but mark my word, you WILL NOT be disappointed. Hang in there

I figured 3 months max. In the beginning he told me August..and it just keeps getting pushed back...he has been good about responding to emails and he agrees he is taking to long. He emailed me and said his assistant should have them ready hopefully by oct 3rd weekend. Well here we are, almost two more weeks have passed since Oct 3 -no pictures and no email from him.

He was a great photographer, great to work with. I just didnt know it was going to take 5 months to get my wedding pictures in.....I cant wait to see them, I know they will be beautiful. However, he could at least send a FEW so we have something to show people? I am not the only one frustrated - all our family and friends are dying to see!

And all of this is nothing that I havent already told him myself.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
