I don't think it'd look weird at all - it'll just be fun & colorful. I also don't think everything has to be matchy, but some people prefer a very coordinated look so it just depends on your preference. I loved having the talavera tiles & guests really liked that they each got a unique tile. And if you wanted, you could put votive holders on the tables in your colors.

in case you're interested, this is where we bought the tiles for the place cards (they had really good customer service)

and for the table #'s (also great service - it looked like they were out of the #1 online & when I called they searched around & found one to send me)

http://www.mexicantiles.com/mexican-decor-ceramic-house-number-tiles.html

We bought the little stands online, but I've seen them at Michael's for cheap.

While we were in PV we bought a talavera vase to use in our sand ceremony which helped tie things together, but even without that I would've still used the tiles as place cards/table #'s.

Hope that helps. Good luck deciding & let me know if you have questions!

Thanks so much!

Oh trust me they came with a heavy price tag as all things do at Beaches! Yeah I would just purchase some various shells in the smallest sizes you can, I know the sand dollars come in pretty small sizes.

This couple used the follow pictures as table numbers. I will be using it mostly as decor but I thought I would post it anyways.

My grandparents are very sick and can not come down to Mexico with us. By the time of the wedding they probably will not be around anymore.

One day when I was looking through my photographerâ€s slideshows, Del Sol, I saw this fabulous, inexpensive idea. I am going to be using this idea. I will probably not use it for the table numbers but more as a way to show photos of everyone and honor our diseased family members.

Also I am spending my nights decorated each clothing pin. They look so cute!

My escort cards are going to be wine glass charms (I have a pic of the prototype in the DIY forum) - idea found on the Knot.  I'll have a bulletin board at the entrance with them hanging - each one will have the guest's name on it and then the back will have the table number.  Since they are so small, I have to do numbers instead of a table "name" or else it won't fit.  But I'm debating on what to do at the actual tables - maybe have a number and a theme.  I've heard about doing the cities visited while traveling but we only have 4 tables and narrowing that down would be hard.  Then I thought about doing a beach theme - like one table is the a beach ball, another is a beach umbrella, another flip flips, etc and I'd just print it out on card stock.  The other option was to get some large sand dollars and just paint the table number on those.  I like the song idea too -it gets the guests involved.  Too many choices!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
