My first Wedding Issue.... GRR!!!

    Oh no, what a mess. I agree with some of the other ladies, if you used your credit card, contact your bank right away. If you used cash or check, you might have to wait months for the bankruptcy thing to sort out. Sending you good thoughts!

      omg let us know how you get on.i would,nt accept a cheque or if you got one could you pay extra to get it cashed straight away?if you don,t get it before he the bankruptcy is complete you will not get your money back it will go to secured lendors.your sis obviously has a 6th sense.

        Ok so my sister went down today to get the refund. He would only give her a check so she took it and went right to the bank the check was from to cash it... it didnt go thru!!! GRRRR!!!
        So she went back to the shop and demanded cash. It worked! He refunded the credit card purchases back to the cards and we got cash for the rest. Phew! Thats solved. Time to look for new dresses!!!

        Thanks for listening ladies... its nice to vent to people who understand. My FI cares but its just not the same as you guys going thru the same things. :)

          I can't believe they didn't call you. Were they just hoping no one would try calling and they wouldn't have to deal with people!! I hope you get your money back and you can order the same dress from somewhere else!

            vlynnw- we actually decided that there must be some bad karma with the dress so i refuse to get the same one elsewhere. My MOH had been having nightmares about the dresses not coming in (lol) or not fitting... or her having a different dress then everyone else because hers didnt fit.... so between that and this place going out of business- we are getting different dresses all together.... I cant take the drama this one seems to bring. :)

              Wow! What a pain! But, I'm so glad you were able to get your $ back (no surprise that his checks bounced!) It sucks to lose your business, but come on! There are ways to close down that don't make you look like a crook & leave your integrity intact!!

                  I was seriously thinking about you all day today hoping that you got your money back! I'm so glad it worked out and I don't blame you for not wanting the same dresses now...start fresh!
