It's funny, Shellk, because that's kind of what I"M afraid of! His mom wakes up at the CRACK of dawn, before sunset.... so that is my newest worry, that she'll be following us around while we're trying to spend time together... but whatever-- I still hope it works out!

and Bride2b10- I plan on 'sweetening' up the idea whenever possible! I think us ladies know how to really make that work in our favor :)

I was debating on doing a TTD. After my wedding, I decided that I spent too much money and time picking the perfect dress, then the fittings, alterations, ect....starving myself for a few days before to make sure nothing would bust open, lol. I have a lot of respect for my dress, it has held up through all that traveling and sweat. So I just couldn't bear to jump into an ocean or roll around in the sand while wearing it. Just another view on things, maybe that would make you feel better if FI doesn't budge.

I'm so happy he caved for you!! hehe but he really will love the photos they produce... I have seen some of the most NATURAL photos (re: smiles and gestures) in the TTD shots! Maybe once you get down there you can work on getting him into his full outfit, but for now at least he is game!! :) My FI, comparatively said that he didn't care what it would cost, those pictures were HOT wink.gif Haha

It's so great that you've gotten him talked into it! Have you shown him pics of others' TTD sessions (maybe from the girls here?)? Honestly they're some of the best pics I've seen. Even if they're not super steamy (which lots are & that would be fun!) they capture so much intimacy between couples. You can just relax & be yourselves and get so many unique shots. And you don't have to roll around in the sand if you don't want to. I've seen lots of cool pics of people walking around in quaint towns with cool architectural elements. There's a bazillion ways to do a TTD shoot!

And if your MIL doesn't know where you'll be she can't follow! Or you could just tell her that it's just the two of you & you're not comfortable with people watching.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
