Los Cabos- Hilton or Sheraton

Recommended Posts

I am a Hilton Bride ,July 2008. I selected the Hilton because of room rate (for block rooms, the price was in my budget for as food and the concession that are offered for during a room block. Emeline take pride in her work, she responds to my emails really quick. I hope this helps

the hilton offers a 2 night complimentary site stay after booking along with a food tasting? A deposit is required which is based off the room block? For ex: you pay 10% or 20% of the room block which is then applied to the final bill. My dep is around $750.00 which holds and confirm the date for you. I really enjoy working Emeline. I am wedding planner in Dallas and I know a good wedding planner when I see one, and Emeline is an five star wedding planner to me,she has passion for her work.

I'm bias to the Hilton also. I'm getting married there same day as Sarah. Just a couple hours before her, so between the two of us you should get a ton of information in the next couple of weeks. Emeline has been great. We also let her get us prices, but we ended up using outside vendors as well; flower cart, DJ Ricardo, photographer Manuel Burgoin, guitarist David Flores. We didn't go crazy w/flowers and centerpieces, so our price was $1350. Let me know if you need anymore info.

That is a tough decision. We were married at Casa del Mar, but the Sheraton and Hilton properties were our next runner's up. I think that I would have had to come down to what dates they had available at the time (as we only had 6 months to plan our wedding).

I prefer the spa at the Hilton (if that helps). Also, you can contact them if you want to have a spa day with your group and they will give you a great discount (probably 20% off for everyone). Also, sometimes they will extend that rate to people for their entire stay - especially with a group of 50 or more.

When we did our site visits, I preferred Emeline to Irma. However, I LOVE the De Cortez restaurant at the Sheraton and I think that their property has a better layout for weddings. I didn't really help you (sorry), but maybe one or more of these issues is more important to you?

The Sheraton is absolutely beautiful! I've never been to the Hilton, but I'm sure it's nice also. The Sheraton was our 1st choice, but it's out of our budget for the wedding. However, we bought a timeshare there in March, so I think we'll be staying there for the honeymoon. It's so romantic!

Hi, I just got back from my site visit in Cabo. I had wanted to see the Sheraton but they do not have any rooms available for during the weekend of my wedding so it doesn't make sense to get married there if my guests need to stay somewhere else. With that said, I didn't bother to check it out.

However, I did meet with Emeline at the Hilton and she was great. Very knowledgeable and impressive presentation. She really knows her stuff. They are also offering us a TON of perks for having our wedding there. Looks like this is where we're going to end up.

For those of you getting married there (or have already gotten married there) any info you can share about your menus, pricing, vendors, etc - would be very helpful.

Thanks ladies!!!

Hey Jen, go check out Kash's review she just posted on the Hilton. Oh and just an FYI we got married at the Sheraton but we stayed at Villa Del Palmar (we we also stayed at the Sheraon for two nights) And it actually worked out great.

How was your visit? Have you made any decisions based on your trip yet?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
