Los Cabos- Hilton or Sheraton

Recommended Posts

I am really stuck between these two? Anyone care to share experiences? How were the onsite coordinators? Have heard alot about Emiland (?) but not the Sheraton's. Also, did either of these resorts offer a complimentary site stay and food tasting? Was a deposit required first?

I vote for the Sheraton...but, I'm biased. I just got married there. I'll send you a PM with some more info. We didn't have a complimentary site visit (didn't even inquire about this), but we did do a complimentary tasting. We did the tasting after puttind down a deposit for our room block.

I'm not much help in regard to the Hilton, but I know we have more than a few Hilton Cabo brides who can offer their experiences.

I am getting married at the Hilton in only a few days so I can report back as to the actual wedding soon! BUT I would like to tell you that my experience up to now has been AWESOME! Emeline has been extreemly helpful and responcive to me. We have stayed at the hilton 2 times now and have met her on both occasions - she was very warm and friendly and make me feel as though she loves what she does!

We were offered 2 nights free stay at the Hilton once we signed our contract so that we could come back for our tasting and finalizing some details.

I would say that the shearton was our second coice - great hotel but I didn't get a good feeling from their wedding coordinator - it seemed like we were just another couple when we talked to her...

Good luck with your choice!

Thanks Sarah- are you using any off site vendors (bands, hair and makeup, etc)? How is the Hilton with that?

I also was married at the Sheraton. When I did my site visit back in November I met with Emeline at the Hilton and like Sarah said she was great. However the over all feeling I got about the Sheraton was the reason we picked that location and Irma at the Sheraton was great. Don't get me wrong the Hilton is nice resort, but I knew I wanted that romantic feeling to our wedding since it was a smaller one and since the Sheraton isn't just one big building it felt like a little mexican village, the grounds were awesome.. Just everything about it I knew it was the right place for us.

I am getting my hair and make up done there but flowers are coming from the Flower Cart. Emeline has been fine about outside vendors that I booked on my own. I let her give me prices on things and then let her know if I wanted to use someone else....details on how it ends up soon! :)

Do you have the website for Flower Cart? Do you mind me asking how much they charged?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
