Ahh thank you! Yes you are right.. Sometimes its just nice to have reassurance.. I was in a panic about it thinking it was too much but then I thought about our grandparents and uncles and aunts that couldnt make it.. I want to have family photographs with them and celebrate with them so I am going all out on the AHR and really having another wedding at home without the ceremony!!

Hope everything goes great for your wedding! Not long now!! Are you all organised and ready to go? xxxx

uhhg. I wish I could say yes, but i have always been a very last minute person. So why would that change now?!!!  I had less than six months to plan everything from time of engagement to the wedding day. I think i'm doing pretty damn good. cheesy.gif  lol I mean i have the major things done. But i am still working on table assignments, escort cards, flowergirl baskets, the CD favors and centerpieces. All DIY.

I do think it is important to have something at home for the family and friends that can't make DW. How much each bride chooses to spend or how formal will always vary greatly.  I really wanted the formal pics as well. I really want to be able to remember both days forever. It truly is like having two weddings. The way i look at it.....I only plan on getting married once. So i want to savor it!!! I do know that i have had to put alot more time, effort, energy and money into the AHR. The package at the resort is so easy. Very little rushing around to plan.

If you have questions or anything...feel free!!!!

We are having an Formal AHR with everyone in their attire from the wedding. Our is a champagne Brunch with wedding cake, dancing and photographer. We are sending out formal invitations for the DW with an enclosure card with the AHR details and the reply card will list the DW and AHR.   We booked our venue and photographer already and have order invitations.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
