Congrats and welcome to the forum! Costs for my guests was a huge concern for me as well and I ended up narrowing my options by both reading wedding reviews on the forum, and checking the costs and reviews of resorts on expedia and tripadvisor and getting an idea of what the cost was for the time frame we wanted.

Congrats and welcome to the forum! One thing I'm considering is having the wedding at one of a few sister resorts that are right next to each other. That way guests who are on a tighter budget can stay at one place while others can stay at a more posh place. Most of these resorts allow guests of the others to come and enjoy all amenities.

        Just an idea!

I spent a lot of time deciding between these hotels, so send me PM if you have any questions about them:

                    El Dorado Royale
                    El Dorado Maroma
                    Secrets Capri
Secrets Maroma (I picked this one!)
                    The Royal Playa del Carmen

Another nice one friends are getting married in is Excellence Riviera Cancun.
