Which All Inclusive in Riviera Maya?

Hi All,

I am Ty, a soon to be bride, currently in Los Angeles, and moving to Boston in December. My fiance' and I are interested in Riviera Maya, and we are trying to decide which resort to have our wedding at. The tourism market in Mexico is severely depressed, so we are hoping that the current environment would make for some great deals. We're trying to find out what resort people suggest, and what it would cost for our guests in room prices. I've seen a lot of wedding package prices, but these are negligible compared to room rates at all-inclusives. We can't really ask our friends to pay $500 a night, but we're looking for the best and most beautiful we can manage. We don't really have a max amount, but I guess you could say $200 a night max for room rates and we're expecting to have about 20 to 30 rooms. We are considering a wedding between January and April of 2010, and can do whenever except for summer (we own a summer camp in Maine for kids so summers are never possible) or maybe September to December of 2010. Any suggestions?

Hi Ty,

Welcome to the forum!!! I'm sure you will quickly realize that there are A LOT of options for all inclusive resorts and a lot of them are not $500/night. I was also concerned with making sure that guests don't have to pay a lot but if you do your research, I'm sure you can find something reasonable. Happy Planning!

Congrats and welcome! I'm sure you'll be able to find a good deal.

Usually Non All-Inclusive resort run a bit cheaper so your guests won't get sticket shock. Also Dec-Feb is the most expensive/busiest time to go so the rates might drop if you go during a different time of year.

Happy Planning.

The great thing about the Riviera Maya is that there are SO MANY options for the budget, location and feeling that you are looking for. Flights are also very reasonable to this area. Grab a glass of wine and spend some time here on the various resort's threads. You'll def find the perfect place for you!

Oh, I agree with NaM...time of year will play a big part in your price. Traveling on the 'shoulder season' will provide more for your money!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
