Boycott bittersweet wedding designs - edmonton, alberta

It has come time to put this topic up - people need to be aware of what is happening with this company, and what OTHER companies know about them. I'm not going to go into the whole gory details (that is available on at least 3 other threads on here) - but it needs to be said. Bittersweet has screwed over one too many brides on this forum... and MANY other forums too - please take the time to just google them, before you place an order!

I finally gave up on Crystal (as I should have long ago - she was nearly 2 weeks late, and too many excuses deep into my order for me to trust it coming at all - plus I have been completely unable to contact her for nearly a month), and put in a complaint with the BBB - and I'm calling Mastercard today to see if they can do anything about my deposit.

 

Anyways, last night I started emailing a few other companys - and loh and behold, one of the quotes I put in online mentioned that I was looking for a company that wouldn't screw me.... well the lady gets back to me (sorry I can't remember the company at the top of my head), and says "Let me guess Bittersweet?" - well I press her a little bit, and she comes back and says that Bittersweet and another company in the states have been giving Brides the run around for months. She said they seem to just give out enough flowers to get a few good reviews, and then they seem to dry up around Bridal season! Now, this is just one companys reviews (and mind you, she is looking for my money too), but seeing as I didn't even have to give her the company name - that says A LOT! So, beware Bittersweet! If anyone is on any other forums, please post this somewhere! We need to keep people from giving up their deposit so freely!

New brides who are just starting their planning are going to be very thankful to find this! I am glad that we have a place to share information with each other, make recommendations or send out warnings. Imagine how many other people who do not have access to this are getting screwed as we speak? Its a shame to know that there are people out there who will hurt people during an event that is one of the most important milestones in life. Sad, but true! Kudos girly!!

 

By the way, Mastercard should be able to get that back for you, since complaints have been filed all over the place!

i must add to this! i ordered from bittersweet back in April. sent her my deposit and come to find out the day i was suppose to recieve the flowers - they never arrived. i called and called her telling her she was so iresponsible for taking my order and not giving me what i paid for. her excuse - she was just diagnosed with diabetes and was really depressed. the order just slipped her mind. i felt bad but still wanted my money back. its october and i still have not recieved my money. i called my credit card company and they have agreed to reimburse me the money and dispute the charge with her. thankfully!!

wow!!! I wish I had of read all this before. I am looking to book my wedding in November of 2011 but I have dealt with Crystal before. I was employed by one of the companies that supplied Crystal with her flowers. Because she never paid for them (they were sent COD and all the cheques she wrote were bad) I am unfortunately in a very bad situation at work and have been demoted.

 

I am just starting to look for destinations for my wedding so if anyone has any suggestions for me I would greatly appreciate it. I am feeling quite overwhelmed.

OMG AMH, that is horrible! I have been silently following reviews on this company and she really sounds like bad news. I am so sorry to hear that you got a demotion as a result

As for your possible destinations, really the sky's the limit, but it depends on what you are looking for. I see you are from Toronto and so am I! I am strongly considering Dominican Republic, Jamaica, and Costa Rica and they all have their pros and cons. Keep perusing the forums for info and PM me whenever if you'd like!

Unfortunately, No. She couldn't remember, but she said that both companies use the same flowers on their website (same pictures too) and that they are both bad news. UPDATE - I was able to get Mastercard to agree to give me my deposit back, but apparently at the exact same time Crystal decided to give me my money back - so it all worked out in a crazy-over the top way. The worst part of all of this, is that I feel as though I'm a crazy insane bride! How did this all become my fault!
