Hi Becky,

I too am looking at the Royal for my wedding in November of '08. When you have a minute could you tell me how your day went? I saw in your note you were married in March. Everything from the ceremony, food, what photographer you used, DJ, etc.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks,

Jen

Hi Jen. I actually don't get married @ The Royal Playa Del Carmen until March 1, 2008. So, I can't answer too many questions at this time. I can tell you that so far the experience has seemed way too easy. We are less than 3 months out and I feel like I have to be missing something because it seems so easy! We are having just a few people come to our wedding, so as far as a DJ is concerned, that won't be necessary because we will not have the need for a real "reception". We will be having a dinner on the beach after our ceremony and the menu that we have received to choose from is absolutely amazing! I cannot wait to taste it because it sounds so good.

We have hired our photographer and have chosen Elizabeth Medina. You can check out her website: Mexico Wedding Photography, Yucatan, Mexico, Elizabeth Medina photographer. She is amazing from what we have seen and I think that will be not only the best part of our day because it will capture the memories, but will be the best money spent.

Let me know if you have any other questions or if I can be of any help. I know that when I was making my decisions, I had tons of questions that I wanted answers to!!

Good Luck and let me know if I can help!

Becky

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
