I did a lot of research on photographers in PV and it does seem like they are extremely limited... I actually went with Michelle Turner. She does amazing work and since she lives part of the year in PV, I didn't have to pay travel or accomidation costs. She is a bit pricey but I think it is well worth the money. I also found that other photographers were not as pricey but the number of photos really didn't match the price. In my opinion, photography is where I wanted the bulk of my expenses to go. Like someone on here said... at the end of the wedding the food will be eaten, the drinks will be drunk but your photos will last a lifetime... Michelle seems really nice and got back to me in a timely manner. I've told her about this forum but I think she is always a bit busy to actually join us. Give her a call and let her know I recommended her, maybe she'll join us on the forum and we can see eachothers pics like leigh and jonathan display of the other beautiful brides!

Here is a helpful thread as well - I believe most of these photographers are from the U.S., but there are a few in Mexico as well. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...ographers.html

Mellibean - I know you're looking at Las Caletas (have you narrowed the location down yet? I think I've seen you post about a few locations) - but Las Caletas does work with a handful of photographers - I know they're posted in a couple threads, but I can try to dg them up if you need. They actually might already be in the list that's a part of this thread ...

Hi, hope you don't mind me asking, but... how much did you pay for Michelle Turner or can you give a ballpark figure? Her photos are gorgeous! I'm getting married at Las Caletas in May 2008 and am looking for a PV photographer. There seem to be a lot of great photogs around, but none of them in PV, and paying for their travel and lodging would be beyond my budget. It would be awesome if Michelle Turner happened to be in PV the same time as our wedding.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
