hehe Michele - I'm happy being a little more lazy too cheesy.gif And I'm glad to hear that someone you know actually enjoys their kettlebell workouts! It's hard to find people who are familiar with it even!

And waaaay back I know that I'd mentioned that I would be running on my treadmill once we finished the renos in the basement (on the bathroom at least!) and we're getting so close! At the very least I should be able to pull it out of the corner after this coming weekend since FI was nice enough to clean up most of the destruction that he'd done. I'm signed up for a 5km run in May so I have to make sure that I train for that since I'm totally not any sort of distance runner.

Meghan,

I've been athletic all my life as well, I know exactly how you feel. you still do look great. But I understand the wanting to get your old body back. I went crippled with Arthritis for 8 months due to a med, so now that I don't have it anymore, all I've been doing is working hard to get the old body back.

this kettlebells sounds very hard, but a lot of fun!!! I've never heard of it.

So how did your Wii hoolo hoop go yesterday? did you get a chance to get it out, and do your 14 mins lol.

you were mentioning how your a stickler for grammar.. I thought it was funny because I am sure you've notice how I can't spell for the life of me (and I did pass english with high 90's ,have no idea how that worked lol) I should have apologized earlier for my spelling, so I apologized now for any further crappy spelling lol

ahaha Tracy you're hilarious! I totally don't count computer talk as proper grammar/spelling! You don't have to apologize at all :)

But yes, I did go at my wii yesterday and ended up playing for a good hour or so I think! I just kept flipping through the games because I made a new mii and had to get some points in the bank to unlock the more advanced levels and get myself moving! I can say one thing about hoola hooping - it doesn't feel good when you've got sore knees LOL! Snowboarding kicked my ass a little the other day!

And as for the kettlebells - did you see the links I posted the other day? If not just google some videos and check it out... it's pretty impressive!

Don't worry Tracy, nobody's grading your spelling on here!

I have now had 2 sessions with the personal trainer. this dude means BUSINESS! He's got me doing weights, squats and cardio on the Precor AMT in between. I'm sore but I'm pretty sure I'll be in good shape for the wedding. I'm going to go to him Monday - Thursday and maybe one day on the weekend. i'm back on my 1000 calorie/day diet so everything should come together bodywise quickly. I'm not even going to get my dress fitted till March so most of the weight's off already.

I've been off and on with the work outs, myself. Doing better now that Christmas is over. I've been eating really well since Christmas, though. I started writing down everything that I eat and it's a pain in the butt but it's been helping me focus on eating well. My calorie amount per day is usually pretty good but I could be eating better food. So far I've increased the fruits and veggies and whole grains.

My job actually gave all full time employee's gym memberships for a Christmas bonus type thing this year! I've been working out at home but I may have to head down the the gym and check it out soon for a change of pace.

Mel - nice gift from your work to get a gym membership!! We were watching tv the other night and there was a 'Participaction' commercial on that these two people take the stairs instead of the elevator. FI laughed and was like "who takes the stairs??" because he only does in his office if he's within maybe two floors. I was a bit surprised because there are ALWAYS people in our stairwells, especially with the -40 deg.c winter days. Our company is TOTALLY pro-wellness type stuff.

And I'm excited because I'm officially signed up for my assessment with the trainer to get started with the kettlebells. THey do 1on1 sessions and group ones so I'm hoping that I can incorporate both. I'm a little intimidated though because I totally won't be used to having someone really push me. Especially not someone who simply won't care what excuses I try to give them. I'm looking forward to it though, and I may have found a friend of mine to go to some classes with me along the way which will be really nice! Plus FI and our guy friends play squash every week so the girls are all talking about going to yoga on the same nights. I can't wait!!

My trainer pushes me - it's actually awesome although I can tell you I've never worked out so hard in my life - and I've had trainers before. This dude is tough. I hear his voice in my head all the time..."Come on Michele, 2 more Michele...you can do it Michele" It took me 3 days to get him to laugh. There's no joking around or chatting with him.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
