Pear shape?!?! That person has to be nuts!! from the picture I can tell right off the bat, you are not pare shape, from the sounds of it, your body type is allot like me athletic type 'You have broad shoulders and narrow hips. Tighten your core, and add some shape to your butt and thighs with this athletic-body-type workout' (got this from a work-out site) or you could even be straight 'You're stick straight with very few curves. Add more shape to your waist and sculpt your glutes with this workout plan for straight body types' But not pear shape!!!

I know, I can't wear a bathingsuit without the padding, lol I know what you mean when you get a little chilly! It's not fun being so small chested sad.gif

Yah I always thought that I was closer to the athletic/straight shape because my waist and hips were usually about the same size but I also know that I've put on some weight in my hips and behind too so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Wouldn't it be nice if we could have some input as to where our extra weight went on? I mean, nevermind that we have to just accept that its there in the first place, but give me some options! HAhahaha!

But last night I took the dog out for a half hour walk, came home to do some squats, lunges, tricep dips, situps and planks. And I felt SO GOOD afterwards too! I wanted to do a run on the treadmill but our basement is a bit of a disaster so the walk substituted. I actually want to get home and do it all again tonight! SO PUMPED!

Tracy - if you find that you're getting too hot then maybe you could try one of those cool bands that you drape around your neck.

I can't explain them too well but like either of these...

Cooling towel or cooling headband/bandana. Either that or go the tried and true route of a cold wet towel!! Either way you might find that it keeps your temperature regulated a little more and might help from getting a headache. I have issues with over-heating so having my treadmill in our basement is perfect because its always cooler down there. Make sure you're drinking a good amount of fluids while you work out too because that's a sure-fire way to get a migraine is if your body is dehydrated. I try to drink lots a while before I work out just in case.

That's actually pretty common from what I know, but unfortunately I'm not really sure how to break through that. You could try talking to a trainer at the gym and ask them. How long have you been at it? I know there's a point where you stop losing the "excess" weight and go through a process of converting fat to muscle. It may just be that you're going through one of those phases now so even though you don't feel like you're seeing results, you really are but they're just all inside you. I would talk to a fitness trainer and go from there!! Way to go on getting to the gym that often though... I wish I can that conviction right now!

Still hanging in there- I used the eliptical night before last and went to another aquafit class today. If I work out again tomorrow and then go to another class on Saturday morning that will be four workouts this week which is what I'm aiming for right now. Wish me luck!

Okay so motivation time!!

April 1st is in exactly 22 weeks (yesterday!). So I'm going to assume that each workout we do is 30min. minimum whether its a run on the treadmill or elliptical, some weight lifting, stair climbing etc. and do some basic math for us all.

# workouts/week = # hours workout time left until April 1

1 workout/wk = 11 hours total workout time (barely more than you spend at work in a day, including some commute time)

2 workout/wk = 22 hours total (still not even time between two breakfast meals)

3 workout/wk = 33 hours total (now we're getting there)

4 workout/wk = 44 hours total (getting the idea here??)

The reason I wanted to point this out is because I wanted to show that we need to be doing our workouts, even a short half hour at home, as frequently as we can because just putting in an hour per week right now means that we're saying that we can't commit the equivalent of ONE FULL DAY to working out and getting in shape for our wedding day. And the memories and pictures from our wedding day will be part of our lives forever!

I will admit that after work in the evenings, I am more than content to sit down and watch tv and let my brain just turn right off. But when I worked out the other night i was almost doing the same thing. I was totally distracted watching tv, except that I was doing my crunches, squats etc on the floor instead of doing nothing on my couch. And I realize that I'm lucky because I don't have kids to worry about but I think we all often forget how easy it is to get that little bit of time in, even while relaxing!

HOW'S THAT FOR MOTIVATION!?!? HAHAHA!!!!! smile123.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
