Ivan - Thank you so much! That picture is SO helpful in locating where everything is!!!

stevensFiance - That's so funny because after receiving your information and looking at more pictures, we're now trying to switch over to the Gran Caribe gazebo so that we can have the cocktail hour just outside :)

Well, darn it! The Gran Caribe gazebo is booked during that time for another event. Now I'm back to trying to choose a reception spot. Argh.

Also, here's the map of The Royal that you get at check-in - don't know if it will help anyone, but it might :) The Royal Cancun Property Map, Cancun Mexico, Island Breeze Bargains

Ok, now does anyone know anything about the lobby terraces at the Royal? I don't recall terraces by or in the lobby?

Thank you in advance for any information anyone has!!

And if you choose "Pool" go to the right you can see the Lobby Terrace as well is right next to the bridge,

Our wedding is at the Gran. We are having the wedding on the beach but have decided on a non-beach location for the reception. Julie sent me pics of "the rooftop terrace", the "Banquete Terraza Albatros" and the "Villas Terrace".

Does anyone know if the rooftop terrace and & Albatros terrace are the same thing or are they separate locations? Thank you!!

One more question for those of you getting married at the Royal ...

Our WC suggests we have the cake & toasts immediately following the ceremony on the beach, then doing pictures then reception.

This seems a little odd. The only positive I see would be we don't have to eat up time during our 3 hour reception for these activities.

If we do this, then I think we would need to change our wedding time to 3:30 vs 4 because I am concerned we would run out of time for pictures (November wedding). And do we want to eat cake right before pictures??

Could anyone offer advice/suggestions on this?! I appreciate your help!!
