Honeyfund for after the Wedding

Recommended Posts

Hello!

I am planning a renewal of vows in Nassau, Bahamas July 3, 2010 and we were planning to stay for a week afterwards as sort of a honeymoon. Well, I stumbled upon the Honeyfund registry and I thought it was pretty cool, but would it be awkward to have our wedding in the Bahamas and then the Honeyfund says it's for our Honeymoon in the Bahamas?

Please don't take offense to this-just wondering for my own sake but...are you supposed to give/receive gifts for a vow renewal? I've never heard of that before.

But I don't think that's weird at all if you are staying in the same place. You can register for fun activites like zip lining or snorkeling or nice thing together like massages or dinner.

Congrats!

No offense taken!

Well for us, my husband and I got married when I was 19, he had just turned 20, and he had just completed basic training for the Air Force and I was just a sophomore in college, so we were both essentially broke, so we got married at the courthouse, with just me, him, and the JP for $36. So our vow renewal, which will be on our 7th anniversary, is the wedding we always wanted but couldn't afford when we got married over 6 years ago. So except for the fact that we are already married thus no need for official docs, I'm treating it like a regular weedding. However, I didn't really expect gifts since it is a vow renewal and we are pretty much set, but I have family and friends constantly asking me for a registry, so I thought the honeyfund would be a good idea.

Thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
