Wow...glad to hear you are okay!!!

I always walk to my car when i'm alone with my keys between my fingers and my finger close to the panic button. I was taught that by my Sensei in my kickboxing class. That's another tip for you ladies, take martial arts classes or self defense classes. It doesn't hurt to be prepared because you never know when you'll be at risk.

There is absolutely no reason in the world we need to be vulnerable in these types of situations!!!

BTW good on you for using your truck as a weapon...this guy might have been a rapist and who knows how much that scared this guy. Maybe next time the prick will think twice fryingpan.gif

holy crap that's scary! I'm glad you made it out ok but wow, good post and great lessons. I've taken a few self-defence courses before and I know that legally (in Canada anyway) that if you are defending yourself from HARM then the law will be on your side, it's once you go from self-defence to "punishment" (ex. beating up a guy who attacked you to a bloody pulp instead of putting him on his ass once and running like hell) could land you in hot water with the law.

Again, great post, and glad you're ok! hug2.gif

I would honestly still report this guy to the mall security as well as police. Give them a description of both the guy and his car as best you can because they may have had other reports of the same which might help them to increase their security more and keep an eye out for the guy.
Glad to hear that you're alright though and that you made it out with dress (and shoes!) intact. Can't wait to see the pictures after your party :)
Good advice! Report his ass!

Wow- I'm so glad you got away okay- good thing you made it to your truck. I agree, report him to the police and mall security if you're comfortable, the mall may have him on their cameras and he may have tried this before. I know he didn't actually touch you, but he definitely tried to and harassing people is illegal in some places.

Is it totally wrong that a part of me was wishing you'd been able to back over his little Acura with your truck and creamed it? 'Cause I know it's better that you didn't, but still....

Thanks for the tips and glad you (and your dress) are okay!

Hi Girls Update: I spoke with Macy's they took the description and will search for a face shot of him in the cameras. They are also going to forward the picture to mall security to look out for him. I'm glad I called maybe this will stop him from harassing anyone else.

Just a little note: I'm a pretty tough chick, but when he drove over in his car it threw in a whole different element. I mean how do you defend yourself against a car? I am now going to get pepper spray or something that I can shoot out.

Thanks for all the helpful advice. Please pass my story on to all your friends and family, I want women to be prepared and not be put in a situation like this!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
