Is anyone taking a limo to the airport?

Ok so maybe this is cheesy but we are taking a white 12 passenger limo to the airport. It is a 2 hour ride to JFK so I wanted us all (well, the 4 of us lol) to be comfortable. I have never taken a limo anywhere before so I feel this is a justified cost since everything will be done on the resort in JA. It took a while to find a white stretch that would accomodate 8 peices of luggage but I am almost as excited about this as I am about getting married! Plus, my daughter will get a kick out of it. I plan to make the most out of it, complete with dorky white "bride" tank top. Hee hee.

So, has anyone else done this?

We rented a limobus to take all of us to the airport. There were only 11 of us, but no one wanted to drive or take a shuttle service. A stretch limo couldn't fit all of us plus luggage so we went on our 2 hr drive to the airport in the limobus. DH and I had a stretch limo pick us up from the airport after our honeymoon as well. We didn't do bride and groom shirts or anything, mainly because we were too lazy to bother.

I plan on taking a car service or limo to the airport - we'll be going with my parents and FI's parents to Philadelphia, which is over an hour away, and the flight is at 7:25am. With all of the luggage and stress, it will be easier to have someone else drive! We will definitely wear "bride and groom" shirts - I haven't mentioned that to him yet but I'm sure he will be ok with it ; )

I think that is a great idea & I wish I would have thought about it for our wedding. It was so stressful that morning trying to get everything & everyone ready & be at the airport (which is 2 hours away) by 6am. Not to mention having to come home & drive home 2 hours after we have been up for 24 hours & on a red eye. Def worth the $$ I would say & an added bonus - it will be fun!!

It's a great idea. We will use a car service for sure, but it's just the two of us. (everyone else is flying from different cities/states). We travel quite a bit and normally use a car service. Depending on the amount of time we are gone, sometimes the car service ends up being cheaper than the parking rate at the airport. Plus, it's so much better being dropped off in front rather than hauling your luggage all through the airport parking garage.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
