I tried to put little touches here and there, but its just the two of us, so no need for lots of stuff for guests so I made sure the "little" things would show in pictures..
so, I am not trying to be "too" nosey, but will you have a wedding where you live with your family?? that is what we are deciding right now...

haha..Although my family really wanted to come, we chose to do this by ourselves and even though they want to have a party for us upon our return, I really don't want to...HIS family thing ya know

I love the shell idea. Too bad we don't have a ring bearer or a flower girl. Hmmm, maybe the best man and/or the maid of honour could have this role?

We're not planning on bringing our real rings with us though. We're just going to get some cheap knock offs at Claire's or something - so would it be weird to do a presentation of fake rings?

Thank you! I hot glued the flowers in. I'm still not sure if we are going to put the rings in there for the boys to carry (James is very nervous about it), but we definitely wanted them to carry them, then also have for pics.

YES I am getting excited! I'm about to go to the pool to work on my tan =)

  • 1 year later...

figure i'd post this here instead of starting a new thread ...

i absolutely LOVE this little trinket box for the ringbearer to carry our rings in:

Austrian Crystal Jewelry Trinket Box NIB Scallop Shell - eBay (item 370154913318 end time Mar-06-09 18:04:31 PST)

but not sure i wanna spend $30 on it, when a simple pillow or DIY ring shell would be so much cheaper. plus it's pretty tiny. i would probably still want to mount it on something. what do you ladies think? should i just buy it and save myself the DIY? lol i know $30 isn't like a ton of money, but i've been spending on stupid stuff lately!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
