Hacienda Tres Rios Brides Post Here!

Dear future Mrs m.

Yes that chair price sounds good!! Also rented table linens with her, she is the source for all vendors.

I remember they wanted to charge me for the cake 3 days before my wedding!! and i looked in my contract in panic mode and it was included, but i made that contract a year ago, so maybe they change it after. I was very stress about the cake. But the resort do have a better price than any one else! some cakes run up to 450 dlls!

Let me know what else do you need!

Hi ladies,

18 pesos per chair!!  That is amazing!  I was planning to just use the folding chairs for the reception but for that price I will rent them as well....what is the delivery fee?  I also want to rent colored linens for our dinner tables at the reception so I will contact Mrs Gama tomorrow about that.  Are you going to pick your colors before you get there or after arriving in Playa?

Also, Allibe ended up not calling me as promised last week.  I'm off of work on Mon and Tues this week so I'm thinking of giving her a call myself.  I know that she's super busy but a lot of my budget is depending on rentals for the welcome party (lounge areas, etc) so I'd like to know what I'm working with!!

Thanks to everyone for your help!!!  I'm so excited for the weddings coming up!!!  We're at about 6months now and all of a sudden time is going by REALLY fast!!!

if you look in the history you will find my complete list of vendors, it is long!

My suggestion, because i had received several emails from h3r brides, dint asked other people quotes, every couple budget is different. sit down and write your budget for everything, call the vendor and when he ask your budget lower it 200 dlls!! everyone works different, i didn't invest much in flowers, my flower guy got me! and made something really really nice for a not so much flower girl like me. look for people that is welling to work no matter you budget range. every one needs to work this days and wont turn your wedding down! they need your money but spend it wisely!! don't feed the commission chain!!!! please!!! that's awful go straight to the vendor, make him send you pics, got to web sites!!

sorry my spelling is terrible!

Hi Becks!!
We're doing our cocktail hour at the martini terrace and the reception at the terrace you have pictured here:) We're doing everything similarly! We're also doing our welcome party at the point you have pictured (between the river and the ocean).

Did you get any quotes on Lighting the terrace? Did they tell you how much lighting you need? Also for the beach welcome party? Just curious:)

Here are a few pics for now. I have friends coming into town in a few hours so I wanted to put a few up before I get super busy.

We're going to do a welcome party on the beach, ceremony at the point in the picture, cocktail hour at the martini terrace and the reception on the plaza...which is the last pic. Well, at least that's the plan :-)
Next time I'm on, I'll post some pics of the food...and the beach beds :-)

Yay! It's official! My fiance and I are going to get married at the Hacienda Tres Rios on 11.11.11! I'm so excited! :)

We signed the contract and sent in our deposit.  Not sure what we do now though?  Haha.  Will Allibe start sending me information on vendors, etc?

What are you all doing about airport transfers between the airport and resort for yourselves and your guests?  I'm trying to find out more information on this, but I'm getting a slow response!

Thank you!

In my experience I had to pretty much ask for the information. But maybe I was too eager and ahead of her perceived schedule? I also went with different vendors than she suggested (but, also on the other hand, she only suggested 1 vendor for each thing I asked about).

Our DJ is providing our lighting for both the wedding reception and welcome party.

We decided to go with the lighted dance floor from DJ Ivan (we'll keep it all white during dinner) and he also comes with lighting.  There are streetlight-type lanterns around the terrace that put off nice light too.

For the welcome party we decided that it would be easy to use Ivan again.  He is providing speakers for an iPod hookup and will bring lighting also.  He is charging $300 for the speakers and $200 for the lighting (4 large lights).  He met with us during our site visit so we could talk about what we needed.

I'd LOVE to know any of your plans for the welcome party.  I've found that this has been harder to plan than the wedding reception because there's no 'formula' so-to-speak!   What are you doing for food and the set-up?  I've looked into renting lounge furniture and a bonfire for ppl to hang out and make smores...and maybe just use the resort's round tables for a BBQ dinner.

Also, does anyone know how the cocktail hour works?  Passed appetizers or stations?  Bar or cocktail service??

Ahh...details...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
