I actually just heard from her today. I reached out to her to ask her a question about chair choices. Seems like they only have those white ones.

What were you looking for? Maybe one of us can help?

Tomorrow will begin my one month countdown! Time flies ladies! I'm so excited but so nervous because there is still so much to do.

Has anyone heard from Allibe lately?  I've been waiting for a few answers and quotes from her for a couple of months now.  Last month she emailed me back to say that she was sorry that its taking so long ...but I've heard nothing since.  I've sent a few polite emails in the weeks since but she hasn't replied.  I thought his was odd so I wanted to check with you all.  My fiance is suggesting that I email again but this time CC Luis.

I emailed Allibe again and CC'd Luis and she emailed me right back.  We're planning to talk on the phone tomorrow morning.cheesy.gif

I was just looking for clarification regarding my menu choices since I'm designing the invitations now and I wanted to include that info on the RSVP card.  I'm also still waiting for a quote from Planner 1 and was hoping for an update on that.  I'll let you know what I hear.

Future Mrs M:  One month!!!!!!!  You must be SO excited!  I can't wait to hear about everything.  What do you still have left to do??

I just thought of one more question for you...what kinds of rentals are you getting for you beach welcome party?  We are doing a welcome party on the beach where the volleyball court usually is.  I can picture what I want for the wedding reception but am having a harder time deciding on things for the welcome party.  I'd love to hear what your choices were and what the prices were like for rentals, etc.

Thanks!!!

Becks - I am in the process of finalizing favors and menu/place cards things like that. We met with the florist and our wedding coordinator back in September so they have an idea of what we want and are visualizing for the ceremony and reception.

As far as the welcome party we are doing it at the beach between the river and the beach so we will be surrounded by water:) We are using the white chairs that the resort has for that event and are doing a really laid back welcome party. We are thinking of having candles surrounding the river and beach for a romantic look and just simple flowers or shells in vases. As far as the wedding, that's where I"m having an issue with the chairs. I wanted to do something different so it would look a little more formal for the wedding day. I wanted the silver tiffany chairs but seems so hard to find them in the area sad.gif

For the menu - what kind of appetizers are you guys doing? We haven't selected that yet since we never did tasting on those. We have a big Italian/Spanish family so they are very much foodies and we need to make sure they are well fed; ) Let me know what you girls are thinking.

I told Luis when I met with him that I wanted a Tres Leches cake and we got quoted about $200 - are you girls all getting charged for the cake? For some reason I thought it was included??

I also asked him for a personalized drink for us as "something blue":)

Hi everyone!

I'm so excited to find you all on here.  My fiance and I were originally going to get married at the Moon Palace resort, but when we went on a site visit we ended up not liking the resort.  We've been looking for a new one ever since and found H3R!! :)  I've been in contact with Allibe and she is supposed to send us our contract for our room block and wedding soon.  I'm a bit apprehensive about signing without going on a site visit, so hopefully we'll get to go on one sometime next year before the wedding (our wedding is *crossing fingers* 11.11.11).  Thank goodness for everyone's great reviews on their site visits though!!

Just wondering if anyone has any pictures of actual weddings that have taken place at the resort?  The website doesn't really have great pictures of the locations and setup for the ceremony and reception.

Also, would anyone mind emailing me information on the rental quotes they've received from the different vendors (for ceremony and reception setup, flowers, DJ)?  My email is: damitaprilurcool at gmail dot com.

I really appreciate all the information you've all posted!!  If I could be of any help in any way, please let me know! :)

If you go on the website under weddings there should be a wedding video of Marissa and Louis - they had their wedding there last October.

It's a great resort!!!

My suggestion, because i had received several emails from h3r brides, dint asked other people quotes, every couple budget is different. sit down and write your budget for everything, call the vendor and when he ask your budget lower it 200 dlls!! everyone works different, i didn't invest much in flowers, my flower guy got me! and made something really really nice for a not so much flower girl like me. look for people that is welling to work no matter you budget range. every one needs to work this days and wont turn your wedding down! they need your money but spend it wisely!! don't feed the commission chain!!!! please!!! that's awful go straight to the vendor, make him send you pics, got to web sites!!

Hi Avi!

Thank you! I reached out to Mrs Gama and she has the chairs that would match w/my colors. I told them you sent us:) How much did they charge you for chairs? They are telling us 18 pesos each plus transporting them.

I read through my contract and I have nothing on there about a cake. DO the rest of you girls have it in your contract?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
