how did you book your stay there? my initial contact was by filling out their form on the website (http://www.adventureweddingspv.com/) shortly thereafter, Nicole contacted me - she's the WC there (they also now have Kelley). after going back and forth with Nicole, I booked it with her via email/phone calls.
did you use a wedding coordinator? only Nicole who works for Vallarta Adventures - there's no extra charge, and she's AMAZING! so is Kelley!
what hotels are close to the port where you catch to boat to las caletas? oh - good question. we stayed at Dreams, we didn't want to be in town. but i did have friends stay somewhere that was close to the marina - walkable - Villa Del Palmar. there are a zillion hotels close by. Nicole could suggest something as well based on what you're looking for - or a good TA should be able to help too.
hair, makeup , photographer? i paid extra for someone to come to do my hair at Las Caletas (most of the girls didn't do this, it was rather spendy). i had a friend do my makeup (kind of, long story), but you can have someone come do it. i brought in my own photographer - Leigh Miller. they do have people they work with though and can arrange it for you - many girls did this - it is extra $$ depending on what photography package you choose.
any other info about this place? thank you for your help OMG - where to start. have you read all of our reviews and seen our pictures? i'd start there if you haven't already. if you haven't read all of the Las Caletas threads i'd definitely do that. i also have attaching some Q&A docs i saved - but they're already in the threads we have - let me know if you can't find them!
This is an amazing place to get married - end of story! lol

Have you checked out what the other girls suggested? That's what I did (well I booked before I found this site) and we just got back from a site inspection. It's gorgeous! And unbelievably simple, with Nicole doing all the set up stuff for you. As for hotels, if you look at the two marinas that the boat can pick you up at, one is the Neuva Vallarta marina. A three minute cab ride fromthat one are some great resorts that are all inclusive (food, alcohol, drinks, etc) and are right on the beach for less that $100 per night. I would suggest the Riu (fancier) or Samba Vallarta (more intimate). Good luck! Let me know if you have any questions....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
