Thanks everyone for your replies! I am still working on getting my review up, and our photographer said she will be posting more photos soon, yaaaay!! (FYI she is located here in San Diego, is incredible and very affordable!)

I did my hair and makeup myself - just barrel curled small sections (wrapping hair around curling iron instead of clamping it), hairsprayed the crap out of it and loosen the curls so you don't look like little Bo Peep.

Lori L hope your wedding at Dreams is amazing! I've heard only good things :-)

Sita your pics look amazing! We are currently starting to plan our wedding at Dreams but I am curious to know if I can use an outside photographer, as I too live in San Diego and am interested in Taryn's work. I may contact her to see about doing our engagement photos here in SD. Thanks for the info and Congrats on your beautiful wedding!

Hi! I saw that you are in England, so I'm not sure if this will be helpful, but I got the flower at Michael's (Arts & Crafts store in the states), and just pinned it into my hair. I have seen websites that do really beautiful hair pins, if you want to spend the money. I happen to be a footwear designer so we were able to get our sandals through our vendor, but I have heard girls getting great deals at Old Navy (again may be different in England) sometimes as low as 2 for $5. Good luck with everything - I am jealous of your Greece wedding location! I'm sure it will be beautiful,

Thanks,

Sita

Thanks for posting so quickly. Your wedding looked gorgeous. Love your dress!

I am trying to decide which all-inclusive resort to book my wedding: Melia Real, Dreams, or Riu Palace. Melia's lobby looks really trendy on their website. Is the rest of the resort just as nice? Are the restaurants modern? The company who owns Melia also owns Nikki Beach, so I am hoping Melia Real is similar in style.

Our friends like to party so we will be making a few trips to the city for the nightlife. I read on trip advisor that it isn't too far away .. about a $25 cab ride.

I also heard the beds are really hard and uncomfortable. Did you get any sleep? I could fall asleep on a cement floor, but I don't want my guests to complain.

Any input would be really appreciated.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
