I can't speak for a large wedding, but for our small, intimate wedding the cost was less than it would have been to be married on the resort. The attention that we received was over an above anything we saw on the resort!

Given the chance to do it all again, I would go with Dawn again in a heartbeat!

Hi 2nutz do you have pictures of her work? I'm seriously considering using her services.

I'm currently working with Dawn from Jamaica Elegant Weddings and my experience has been GREAT! I'm getting married at Rose Hall Resort in Montego Bay but have chosen to have an off site cocktail hour and reception due to the high cost at the resort. I gave Dawn a budget of $8000 for cocktail hour and reception for 70 people, and she gave me a quote UNDER that! The price includes venue, cake, plated dinner with dessert, cocktail hour with appetizers, open bar, DJ, videographer, and decorations. She does charge a percentage of the total cost of your quote for her fee, which took the cost a little over my $8000, but I feel like it's sooo worth it. I love working with her, she assures me every time we speak that she can make my dreams come true. She asks for pictures and examples of everything so that they can try to give me what I want. Can't wait to see the end result!

I have also been talking with Dawn after this other coordinator came back with an unrealistic price quote. I gave Dawn my budget and she came back to me with everything i can get within that price range. She is also super nice and is willing to work things out for you. I too would love to see some pics from weddings that have used Dawn

Sorord1: Dawn told me that she had an event this weekend at the venue she has booked for me (Tropical Beach). She's suppose to send me some pics of the event so that I can see her work and the venue. When I get those, I'll try to share. I've never shared pics on this forum before so hopefully I will be able to figure it out. lol

    • I have stayed at Dreams La Romana and Dreams Dominicus.  The two resorts are very different in style and decor. A few comparison points are below and fact sheets are attached for both.   Both resorts are approx 45 minutes from Punta Cana airport, close proximity to Saona Island, Catalina Island and Altos de Chavon. Top championship golf courses in the Caribbean are just minutes away including Teeth of the Dog, Dye Fore, The Links and La Estancia – all designed by world-famous Pete Dye. Restaurants are similar at both resorts.  Both offer the Explorers Club for Kids.  Dreams Dominicus  Brand new resort and in 2016 488 rooms (however additional construction was underway) More contemporary style & decor Good beach area Rooms were very nice Preferred Club located in main lobby and adjacent to main pool & beach front Food was good Center plaza area with nighttime entertainment Main lobby is small, but outdoor bar off lobby is nice Dreams La Romana Originally built in 2003 & opened as Dreams La Romana in 2008 756 rooms Recently renovated and new preferred club adults only lounge & pool added  Rooms are more traditional Caribbean decor Grounds are very lush and tropical Good beach area food was good    Dreams Dominicus fact sheet.pdf Dreams La Romana fact sheet.pdf
    • My sister has done it but with the destination wedding, only super close family members and friends came since it was expensive and farther. It was great though.
