Thanks, Cara
If you dont get them in an email just google "vista print coupons" and tons of links will come up. I would look at a couple of them cause they have so many different promotions going on at once.

This thread has been quite for a few days, I am sure most of us are in the thick of it now.

We are working on the invitations, but still need to come up with the wording for additional info/travel card. It's been bugging me =)

Hopefully they'll be mailed in January after the hectic holiday cheer!

How is everyone's planning going?

The pressure I've been feeling lately is unlike any other... trying to be creative with the nagging insecurity of people not booking in time has literally been keeping me up at night, nightmares for real!

Speaking to a friend of mine who already got married, she told me it's normal... doesn't feel normals to have wedding nightmares arg!

If anything good has come from this, I've been motivated on my working out as it relieves my stress a bit :)

I'm going to be booking my DJ this week and buy my TTD dress.

I'm looking into starting a cleanse as well to slim up for my BD shoot in January.

Hope you ladies are doing well!

Let me know if these cleanses work...my BD is Feb. 1 =)

I hear you on the booking. We just sent out Christmas cards, in hopes it will remind those who haven't book yet smile29.gif

I have nightmares about certain things too...in one dream I forgot my shoes, another dream we forgot the money and traveler's checks, and the last one it was just weird...a test run almost with everyone in Mexico =)

I guess this is just normal behavior now that it's less than 5 months till we leave =)

I definitely will let you know how they go!

Oooh the Christmas cards are genius! I resorted to sending personal emails to people telling them I needed the number of definites to get to the number to my coordinator :) At least you have 40 booked! I only have like 22 with 35 still yet to book! I'm tearing my hair out! Everyone wants to wait... arg.

haha my dreams are more depressing, my dreams are me in a wedding dress which is not mine, standing alone in an empty parking lot waiting for FI's best man to pick me up which he does in his Scion TC and we're not in Mexico and I have no bridal party...

I am glad that I am not the only one having wedding dreams. I had a nightmare the other day that they forgot to order my dress. I thought I was crazy, but my mom suggested that I phone the store to ease my mind. All is well.

We already have invites. out, but I wait with baited breath by the mailbox every day! Not many replies back yet. Even people who have booked with the TA already didn't send back their replies. I'm thinking that with a packaged DW people just don't think to send them back, as booking with the TA is kind of a reply... even though I PAID FOR POSTAGE for them to reply!!!! Grrr.

We have 36 booked with 4 more to go that I know of. It was kind of fun for us as there was a few surprise guests that we never thought would come.

Good idea on the Christmas cards as a "gentle reminder"!

Christina,

Did you send the accomdation/travel card with the invitations? I am all over the website and google trying to see examples and I am at a loss.

So far I have:

TRAVEL ACCOMMODATIONS

Hotel:Iberostar Paraiso Del Mar

Riviera Maya, Mexico

Travel Dates:Bride and Groom will be traveling from

April 26, 2010 – May 3, 2010

Please feel free to stay forhowever many days

Travel Agent:Erin Finley – Conforti

erin@topshelf-travel.com

(516) 378-3100 Tues. Wed. & Fri.

For more hotel details and local attractions, please visit our website

finleychierchie.com

I don't like the wording by "Please feel free to stay...." because some people are staying the week and other just Fri-Sun. And then how do I add.."Book Soon" (nicely) lol =)

We'll make and the people will come around. What was your date for your RSVP? Did the invitations go out yet? or just the STD with the website?

I sent out postcards asking for RSVP's by 12/31/2009

I'm going to have the last date for booking 3/1/2010

I only sent out STD's, I'm sending out invites in January hopefully!

Finleys,

I sent out save the date's in August that also included a bookmark that my TA had printed out with resort info and her info on it.

Our invites were a matchbook style (DIY kit). The inside had three info. cards: one more formal wording invitation, one travel card, and the RSVP (replies asked by Feb.1)

The accomodations section which I titled "The Vacation" gave basic resort info., what the package includes, and the travel agents info. It also politely said in italics at the bottom of that part that to book with the group booking, you need to book by Nov.20 (which we got an extension on anyways until Jan 5, which was nice).

Ours have to be a little more structured than yours would (you said "feel free to stay however many days" ) as our direct flights only go out once a week. I think that makes it easier to imply to people "book, and book now!" We have also been spreading the word that if you don't use the group deal, the prices could go up.

I think your wording sounds great though. Sometimes the best way is to just simply state the info. you need people to know. Do you guys have a group booking special or anything? Something to entice your guests to book?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
