me too! i'm waiting and trying to be patient. it's been about two and half weeks, so it's not bad at all. he's promised to have them to me before our AHR. i'm so excited and ready to be done waiting!

i keep checking here to find pictures from may brides, but it seems we're all either waiting or still honeymooning!

AHR is june 12. just a fairly casual BBQ in our back yard (hope the weather holds out!). just starting planning it. hubby has volunteered to plan it (since i planned the wedding!) and is looking into renting tables/chairs, etc. should be pretty easy. my only job right now is decorating. farmers market for flowers and dollar store for centerpieces = done!

Thanks Shannon!!! I am happy, we all had a blast and it was decorated BEAUTIFULLY, I was blown away really :)

I received all my pictures 1 week ago but there are 1,125 of them. They won't be touched up or anything until I chose them for my album and then I'll get them all on a cd and be able to put specific ones online. I just figured no one is going to get through that many photos except me! lol :)

Does anyone have AHR details & pictures, planning, that they would like to share?? We're doing an ultra-informal one in a month or two, but I need some inspiration! I'd like to keep it barbecue / or cocktail style etc.,

I am debating between getting it catered (which might be more money than we want to spend)or trying to do most of it ourselves and just hiring 2 helping hands or so + a bartender......

Would love to hear what you guys are doing/did!

we're having a casual BBQ in our back yard. borrowing a giant grill and will just talk friends into being the grill masters (ahead of time, of course). we're thinking of just serving beer and wine so no bartenders are needed and to keep costs down. soft drinks, too...

a few decorations here and there: lights for at night, simple centerpieces for the rented tables, and some flowers from the local farmers market (whatever looks pretty and affordable that morning!).

ours is on the 12th, so i should be able to report back to you before yours!

You are right Diane, just keep it simple right?! I feel something is missing if I don't "over-plan" :P Yet, I don't want to devote that much time to planning it and stressing to make it happen!

Your AHR sounds great & relaxed. By the way, I really enjoyed reading your review on GPR & the Royal! Those locations were regular "meet up" places for us when we were in PDC because it is so central, and there is parking for your car! My sister always stays in GPR when she goes to Playa del Carmen.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
