And Diane, that is frustrating! But luckily they are fixing the situation and it sounds like you will have your ring which is wonderful! HAHA And that would be great if they forgot about the wrong ring! :P Let's hope!

Hi girls!

Diane - so glad they can get your ring right in time for the wedding!! Talk about relief!

Diana - sorry you had such a hectic weekend! Was it wedding-related?

I had a crazy whirlwind weekend too. Finished finals Wed, flew home to Chicago Thurs AM, got off the plane, picked up my rental car & then the weekend became a blur. Went dress shopping for my mom & found a great dress for her to wear to the wedding and a couple others for her just to have (which is great cuz she hates shopping). Then Fri had to get stuff ready (favors, food, etc) for the shower I was helping host. Fri night visited with family.

Sat was the shower for one of my best friends. It ended up great, but started off with my rental almost getting towed while we were unloading stuff. The tow truck already had my car up & was pulling away when 2 of us ran out & started begging him. I finally said 'you can take the car but PLEASE let me get the food out of it!'. There were several dishes plus her gifts in the car. He finally said 'you guys are lucky you're so damn cute!' and then dropped the car. I swear it was divine intervention cuz that NEVER happens. whew! crises averted.

More visiting & BBQ with family Sun and then back to NY yesterday on a flight that I actually thought was going to crash into Lake Michigan. Turbulence was so bad & we dropped down in the air just after take-off & I thought "this is it - I'm going to die". Freaked me out so bad I was shaking. I am EXHAUSTED and kind of sick - shocking, I know.

Now, I can focus on the rest of my projects. yay! Today I'm gonna mail out my pre-travel to PV packets. Can't wait for people to get them.

What's everyone else up to this week?

Wow! Crazy weekend Karen!

We sent out our pre-wedding stuff over the weekend and everyone is super excited now that they have their tickets in hand. It's actually happening! The rest of this week I'll be packing, getting all my beauty appointments done and fighting off this crazy cold that is now a sinus infection! UGH! Hopefully the antibiotics kick in fast. The doc says I should be good to go in 3-4 days which is perfect because we leave on Sunday!

What a wild ride, Karen! I'm glad the tow person didn't tow your rental away!

Well, actually to get through with this week without dying, that's for me. I have been so busy and I have not had time to sit down except right now at work.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
