May 2010 Brides!

Recommended Posts

FYI - Bed BAth and Beyond has a GREAT luggae scale. We just got it this weekend, we didn't want to go over the 50 lbs., and everyone will be using it =)

Karen - I played around with one I found online, it's pretty and short (which my reader wanted) lol!

Amy, the guest book is such a creative idea I totally love it and love the colors and theme.

Di- Score on the luggage =)

Chrissy - I hear ya on the house thing. I feel like we have put more effort into getting it livable and cleaned up that we put some wedding things on back burner. But we are in full mode now =)

Amy - I don't think there would be a difference. It's just this hand-held digitial read out once you clip the luggage on and then lift. =) We also got it to take with us. Because my sister is famous for buying too much and weighing more on the trip home then going down there. =)

That's brilliant!!! I didn't even think of bringing it with me to weigh before we leave. 65% of my luggage is stuff I'm not bringing back with me though so this trip I wouldn't need it but every year I go to NY for a week to shop and really cut it close at the airport trying to make it back :)

Well also one of my best friends lives out there so it's a twofer really. Me and another BFF have a girls week, go visit her and us 3 shop for hours and hours then eat somewhere amazing and hit a fabulous bar :) So it's more of a girls week which really revolves around shopping, good food and good times.

You can find great deals in NY, best shopping ever! I definitely prefer it to LA. LA has TONS of shopping too but NY tends to stay away from too much bright colors or pastels, Cali does this Easter colors thing in the spring and I'm more of a solid darker colors and no prints please person :) Besides I hate having to drive everywhere, it's way better taking the train all over the city.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
