Thanks girls!

Karen I love the rings! You're E ring is totally gorgeous and your wedding band looks almost identical to mine. I don't have a picture handy but that was actually the first thing we did is buy rings so I've had them since last May, LOL!

Thanks girls! I love it :) Originally I thought I'd just want a plain band, but when I tried this one on I was speechless. FI was like "done!"

Shannon, yeah it's flush up against the e-ring & fits just underneath the solitaire. They weren't made to go together, but when FI helped design my ring he had it made so the solitaire sits up a little higher - made finding a band pretty easy.

The channel set bands are gorgeous too!

Kayley, when will you get your ring back? I'd feel naked too!

Wow you totally put things into perspective! Gotta get moving on some more projects!

I have been away from this thread for awhile but I am so glad that I found it again. I just read the whole thread and I am glad I'm not alone with feeling overwhlemed. I can't believe how fast time is flying. I am in shock everytime I write the date...how is it almost APRIL!?

I know I am a little late with this one, but I finally finished and mailed my DIY boarding pass invites on Monday. It was my first DIY project ever so it took me a little longer, but it was really fun and now that they are sent it feels great. I actually just got a call from FI's cousin - he thought the invite was the actual boarding pass for the plane!! haha (Martha Stewart better watch out ;-)

My goal this weekend is to get my OOT bags under control...I have been just randomly buying things here and there for months, so now I have to sit down and sort through what I have/need.

Hey Kayley if you find a place in Calgary could you let me know? And I am going to begin hunting as well, so if I find anything I will be sure to let you know! :)

my e-ring is currently at the jeweler's...it has been there for like over a month! they needed my e-ring for the mold for the custom wedding ring then after i approved the mold, they are going to polish the ring. first, i felt naked without it but now i guess i am used to it!

Kayley and Diana - you are brave..I would buy a fake e-ring just so I don't feel naked and then the thought of "OMG- where is my ring" Oh right it's at the jeweler. msnwink.gif

Um...so 1 month countdown begins today. We leave a month from today. OMG!!!! So much to do still, but I am remaining calm. I bought my girls silver flip flops yesterday from Old Navy, I am just throwing them in the bag. I got them Coach wristlets, pashminas, starfish necklaces (that one BM made) and flips...that's it idea.gif Plus they get the OOT bags everyone else gets, plus rafts. Only bridal party and parents got rafts. I found the raft mats for $2.47 each...so I go 20 hit.gif

I found a picture of something similar to what I tried on yesterday...we'll hopefully go back on Sunday. We are going to the city to celebrate our 8 year anniversary. Oh Boy!

I hopefully get it back next week. I've been wearing my old promise ring that I got 5 years ago just so I have something on my hand! I look at it and think "this is SO tiny"...hahaha

You bet Cara! If I find anything, I'll post it on our Calgary thread so the other girls can know too.

Shannon - one month from today?! I think my heart just stopped... man I have so much to do as well.

I have to complete my hangover kits and buy a few more things for the OOT bags, finish writing our ceremony and my vows, purchase floating candles and twinkle lights and print out a bunch of signage and buy frames for pictures. There's much more but I can't even think of it yet!

Amy you took the words right out of my mouth! My heart just lept into my throat (is it leapt or lept?). It all of the sudden seems exponentially closer.

Holy crap Shannon, 1 month!!! I'd be freaking out cuz I have sooo much left to do! Seems like you're all set with the BM gifts - I'm sure they'll love everything.

I love your ring - it's gorgeous!! And how great to be celebrating 8 years this weekend! Have a great time!

Kayley, it's so sweet that you have a promise ring! What a great place-holder for your e-ring and it's a special part of your history together :)

I have a ton left to do:

1. Work on our place cards; they're tiles that I painted the backs of but I still have to write everyone's names and table #'s on them

2. Assemble/address our pre-wedding packages (luggage tags & brochure).

3. Repaint the paint brushes I have for people to brush sand from their feet; I did it once but the handles are really rough.

4. Make tags for the OOT bags and get all the stuff together. I'm still looking for aloe & sudoku books.

5-?? Work on our vows, get our music together, look for spa wraps for my BM's, & pack a bag to give to FI's parents to bring. Also need to find a legal day dress.

And in the midst of all this, I'm helping plan a shower on 5/1 for one of my best friends back in Chicago.

ugh

Karen - Hand painted tile placecards!! I love it!!! Sounds like you're doing a lot of creative DIY stuff, that's the best!

You reminded me... I need a legal day dress but we're doing a Vegas wedding and bringing like 10 people with us. I also need a bachelorette party dress, I really can't decide! I'm about to start buying a bunch to try on and compare and send back whatever I don't like.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
