I have my dress! Now shoes?

Recommended Posts

I picked up my dress after my final fitting yesterday. OMG! I LOVE IT!!!

WTOO BRIDES | Bridal Gown Collection | Style Isadora | White English net dress with surplice front draped midriff. Feathered and beaded flowers on skirt. Puddle train.

I was planning on wearing flip flops for the beach and ballet flats for the reception. My wedding is in 11 days. The other night FI was saying how he loves heels and wishes i wore them more. Should I get heels for the reception? I could always change them if my feet hurt, right?

your dress is amazing - I love it so much. Here is the problem with heels after wearing flats...either your dress is going to be too short with the heels since it will be hemmed to the flats for the beach ceremony...or your dress will be too long if you hem it to the heals and you will be dragging it all around on the beach.

I'd stick with the ballet flats...or go inbetween and do wedges for both because I think it needs to be consistent with the length of your dress

What a GLAMOROUS gown, Darcy! I can only imagine how stunning it's going to look...

And I agree with the other girls about the issues with the heels vs. the length of your dress. Maybe go with some really sexy heels for the other times already suggested (rehearsal dinner, etc.) OR if you want to have a little fun on your wedding night, maybe get something super sultry to go with a little negligee? Just a thought!

CONGRATULATIONS in advance and I hope your wedding in Punta Cana (only a few short days away!) is 100% fabulous and everything you've dreamed it to be! wink.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
