PPR Room Upgrades

Hi Everyone,

I have not written for a while but I am trying to get back on track!!

 

I am getting married at the PPR in March 2010. I am not currently staying the Royal Service. Does anyone know how apt they are to give room upgrades to brides at the PPR? Does anyone know who or how I would speak with someone about that?

I know we booked the majestic elegance for our 2nd week in Punta Cana and they offer their "club" service. Our TA suggested booking this if we wanted it because these options book up quickly and aren't really upgraded. I don't know if you care or if it is the same but maybe book the lowest level in that royal service and hope for an upgrade into a better room within the royal service. I've traveled and been to many resorts and I have never seen that many category upgrades, normally they bump you up one or two room categories. Good luck!

I wouldn't take the chance of them upgrading. I would talk to my TA or WC

I am in a similar situation. I want everyone to stay in the reserve, but I want it less than 150 a person per night. They quoted 200 a person, with about 50 guests. I am trying to figure out how I can get the price a little lower, or hopefully save on airfare. Let me know if you figure out how!

I am planning on asking the WC when I e-mail them the guest list. They had said to me in a previous e-mail that they would upgrade me.

I did get upgraded to the VIP bracelets which I think everyone does (it means you can have meals and sit on the beach at Gabi).

We also were given a 1 bedroom suite.
