BM Costs

Recommended Posts

I would ask them and see what they are comfortable spending.

I love being in my friends weddings but I hate the added costs so I kept that in mind when decided my BM dress and just gave them a color and let them pick their own dress. I knew they were spending a lot on travel and hotel so I didn't want them to spend a lot on the dress.

It's more than I would want to ask someone especially with the other expenses for the wedding...flight, most likely room (if any of them have s.os they won't be sharing with you - tho. it is definitely nice of you to offer)bacholerette party, bridal shower gift, wedding gift, shoes, hair, nails, makeup...Their your best friends and they'll most likely do whatever you want without complaint (to your face), but I personally think you could find something just as nice for less money.

On the other hand, if they're the dresses you have to have maybe you could split the cost with them if its too much for them. if they can afford it all without a problem and you absolutely love them...it's your day and they'll be more than happy to get them for you and you did give them 14 months notice.

As someone else said--as long as they feel like they are included--I don't see what the problem is. $200 sounds reasonable. Maybe you can pay for their shoes, make-up OR hair or something. If you are ordering them from a boutique of sorts, maybe you can make the downpayment and they pay the balance.

I think $200 is quite a lot if I'm going to spend $$ on my flight/hotel and etc. Can you afford to cover their dresses? Or half of the price?

I managed to find a super cute BM dress just for $20 and I paid for all of them. I have 7 BMs. You can keep looking around and you can find something cute and affordable!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
