Because there are a 5 diamond resort now they are not allowed to play music by the pool or pool activities!! Alot of guest are complaining about it due to lack of "excitment" a.k.a boring.. hey girls I just got back from the royal, our wedding was on Wednesday and was beyond amazing! We had the time of our lives and pretty much everything was perfect! I plan to do a reiew and post pics as soon as we return from our 2 wk honeymoon cruise to hawaii just wanted to jump on here and let you all know there is nothing to worry about. We had Flora as our wc an she was great...I worried for nothing! The only glitch that I want to share is pertaining to the photographer and outside vendor thing. Elsa told me we could avoid paying the outside vendor fee if we just booked a room for the photog at the gran caribe but found out 15mins before the wedding that they would not allow the photographer to take pics of us at the royal if we didn't pay the vendor fee so we just had to go over to the gran caribe where the photog was booked at and took our pics there.... let me know if you have any quesions otherwise ill post everything when I return on the 23rd!!

those who had beach ceremony/reception meaning on the sand.. did guest complain about heat??? i just dont see  the point of a beach/destination wedding if you have the reception in a ballroom../ unless rain the the cause..besidea my dream and whole point is to have everything on the sand.. . but i dont want to torture guest in the hotness.. I thought it was pleasant.. I traveled in July and didnt find the heat oppresive at all at night.. it was nice and breezy.. just wanted your thuoghts.. Thanks!!

For those who have already been ,married at the royal... Iwhat was your time line of events for you wedding day??? Im hoping to have my wedding outdorrs and im dissapointed to find out the time of end will be 9 pm.. i thought atleast 10 pm....

Hi,

 

If you do your wedding starting at 4, the pool area where the wedding gazebo is has a nice shade and its very breeze. My wedding was very pleasant. We were able to have dinner exactly around sunset and was very romantic and we party until 9pm and I didn't have complains of any of my guest. Since I'm a party animal, I did my after hours party at Coco Bongo. The majority didn't go to the after party.
