Playa Beach Resturants

Recommended Posts

Hi,

We are trying to find a restaurant in Playa Del Carmen on the beach to hold our wedding reception of about 25 people. We would love an open air palapa with great food and awesome decor that is private and we can rent it out. Any suggestions? =)

cmathews!

i am i am also looking for the same thing in Playa.

have you had any luck finding a venue?

i am looking into Blucacao Beach Club for my ceremony and reception. it is a little futher out of town and so the beach is more secluded.

keep in touch with me. let me know what you find.

by the way, i am also a michigander. just recently located to miami to escape the snow. most of our guests will be flying in from the midwest though.

No luck yet. Started to lean towards the blue parrot but after reading some awful reviews of padding the # of drinks on a bill, to pick pocket problems, to noise issues I am thinking probably not. Do you have any pics of the one are looking at? What is the pricing like?

Welcome! I'm running a site visit down to Playa/Tulum Nov 11-15. I'll be spending at least a day in Playa. We'll be staying at La Reve and I've promised to go visit Bluecocoa as well. I'll also spend some time walking the beach looking for your palapa style restuarant on the beach. I'll send you anything I find. Are you looking for anything else?

I just had a thought for you two. I'd be happy to set up a site visit for you two. You guys could make it a girls trip and share expenses, if you would like. You seem to be after similar things. I could make sure we set up visits for make-up, cakes, etc while you were down there. Even if you don't utilize me, I firmly believe that a site visit is the most efficient way to kick this stuff out and it's always fun to go with another girl. It's a lot cheaper and men aren't always the most help on this stuff.

Malisa- What do you charge for a site visit? Are we allowed to talk about that on the forum or do I need to contact you privately?

Cmathews- Are you planning to do a site visit? I kind of ruled it out because of cost, but Malisa does have a good point... we could split the charges of car rental hotel etc. get in touch with me if you are interested.

you can find me on facebook too.

emily joy in the miami network.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
