Sorry -- I don't have any advice on making table runners -- BUT i would recommend you check out this site:

wedding linens direct home page

(just click on 'table runners" on the right-hand side menu)

I just checked quickly and they range in price from $3.10 to $6.99 depending on type of material and size.

I ordered our chair bows off this site (and I know lots of other BDW brides have ordered stuff off this site as well) -- and they were great! And they came really quickly (like in two days I think!)

Anywaaay...maybe you really want to make your table runners, in which case ignore this post:-)

But for the prices on this site you can just buy them for not that much money and maybe save yourself some hassle :-)

that is a good site! I like the one w/ the beading.

Natural, do you sew at all? Or know anyone who does? It wouldn't be hard if you do and even if you don't you could use hemming tape (like double-sided fabric tape) to fold raw edges over. You'd need to know the diameter or width/length of the tables & buy fabric to go across them, but if you have the measurements I'm sure you could find help at any fabric store.

good luck on your diy!

When I was in college I lived in thrift stores. My friends and I were always cutting clothes up and sewing them into new items so I'm pretty handy with a sewing machine. I'm begininng to get excited too I may use the same material for throw pillows for the lounge area at the venue...this would tie everything together...

Well I want to use a fabric that has a nice pattern so they won't be your standard table runner. And I would probably have the baker use the same pattern on the cake as well as make some throw pillows for the lounge area to tie everything in.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
