Calling All My BDW Bridemaids! Dress Opinions *decision post #17

Recommended Posts

So I went in to a bridal salon that carried the dress in diamond white and in my size. It fit like a glove!!! And I LOVED it!!!! My waist cinched in so tiny. LOVED LOVED LOVED it. I didnt want to take it off.

The diamond white actually didnt look that bad. But I think Im still going to go with the ivory over the champagne. Ive never tried the champagne color on, but the ivory I have so I know that looks good.

Now Im deciding whether or not to tell them to make it a sweatheart neckline or leave it the way it is. It really didnt look that bad the way it is, but I think with a little bit of a sweatheart neckline would give me even the more curvy look.

And roo66, no offense at all! I was looking for comments like that :)

oh my gosh - I'm so glad you decided on dress four... I immediately loved four the best and I held my breath hoping as I read through all the threads that you chose it. I think it will be amazing on you.

I thinks a sweetheart neckline is beautiful and could help you to feel a little sexy too :)

Now I dont know if I missed it somewhere - but who designed that dress!!

I can't wait to see your photos when you recieve it... I think im in love :)

I didn't vote for one of them in the later post, but the second dress in your original post is more flattering I think. It makes you like Jessica Rabbit voluptuous. If you loved that one, can't the person making it just make you that same one?

ETA: I see you picked a dress, nevermind!

Good choice with #4- I think it will be very flattering on you. As for the neckline, I think it works just the way it is with the asymetrical (sp?) lines on the waist. Also, it looks to me like it is already kind of a soft neckline the way it is (lace on top?). Good choice on ivory too- champagne is a very tough color to pull of for most as it tends to wash people out. Ivory is usually safe for most people.

Can't wait to see pics. of you in the dress! Please post soon!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
