    Hi all,

My fiance David and I are very close to booking the Gran Caribe Real in Cancun for our Catholic wedding in Oct 2010. We are planning on visiting next month. My travel agent/wedding planner is really pushing Moon Palace though but Gran Caribe Real has lower room rates. Any feedback from anyone who has gotten married at EL Gran Caribe Real?

    Many thanks!

      Hi Karla,
I also having my Catholic wedding there, the price difference is by 50%. I already compare every single detail with the prices at Moon Palace.
The WC is really nice her name is Denisse Campos.
My wedding is on dec 5.

        Hi Karla,
I'm getting married at the Gran Caribe next Sept and actually just came back from a site visit. I really wanted to see the chapel in person and I was not disappointed. It's beautiful. I was there for a week and during that time there were several weddings that took place. Each one was totally different from the other. The resort is very accommodating and I highly recommend it.

          Hi Isisferi,

Thanks for the quick reply! That's fabulous and nice to hear someone has done all her research. I really like GCR, have you visited it? My fiance and I will be going in two weeks in early Oct to check it out! Congrats and I would LOVE to hear how it goes. I was thinking of doing the Luxury package with the Catholic ceremony. Have you picked your DJ, flowers, food, etc? Where are you having your reception and how many guests are you having? Sorry for all the questions, just want to compare apples to apples. I think I will have about 30-40 guests.

            Hi Kvataj30,

From NY too! I live in the Bronx. I am happy to hear you were not disappointed. Did you do food and cake tastings? Is the food good?
Is the DJ selection list good if you are hiring a DJ?
