I think adding color to dresses, not to mention colored dresses themselves, are becoming more and more popular by the day! When Gwen Stefani added that bright pink at the bottom of her dress, the whole world had an opinion -- some great, some awful, but it was HER sense of style, and I think that is what most people can respect most about her choice of dress.

GET WHATEVER IS YOUR DREAM, and forget the nay-sayers!

For your viewing-pleasure, here is another gorgeous dress by Sottero & Midgley that is phenomenal, too -- it's a really soft, pretty pink, and I think it still looks totally bridal:

Yay! Thanks ladies! I was kinda worried and thought maybe I was just being a flake. But I'm glad so many of you agree with me! And I showed the dress to FI and FMIL and they both thought it was beautiful. If I said to FI that I want to walk down the aisle in a red tutu and a black corset, he'd just say "Sure, I don't care my love!" lol And Christie, I agree, that dress is definitely bridal, and very beautiful ^_^

Yea! I'm guess I'm feelin' your vibe, and we're on the same page, sweetheart! Glad you liked my comparison dress to show you that other fabulous pink gowns are out there...

And again, whatever is YOUR dream dress (which the one you've selected is more than glamorous and divine!) as a bride is EXACTLY what you should wear! There should be no "what will people say?" about this... YOUR opinion and yours alone is what should determine what you wear. Period.

My dress is actually Light Gold (not white!), if it makes you feel any better! I went with Sottero & Midgley RSM1038 and the light gold color is the color of the sample they brought in when I went to try it on (I thought I wanted the traditional stark white) but it turned out that the gold tones complmented my skin tone MUCH better!

So, see if your bridal salon can bring the pink version of the dress in for you to try on, and THEN make your final decision on what you'd like to get! Whether or not you end up with the dress in pink, in white, or even in a potato sack, you will still be the most BEAUTIFUL bride your groom (not to mention your family and friends) have ever seen because you will be wearing what YOU love!!

Thanks ladies :) I didn't really want white because I'm very pale (and NO amount of tanning helps. I've tried lol I burn, then go right back to being Casper lol And I think I may wear a veil, maybe try to get one in the same colour as the skirt? I don't know, I just think white would look funny....

And thanks Christie :) I feel normal now lol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
