Getting to Cabo in the summer

Recommended Posts

I'm just wondering if anybody has heard or experienced trouble with getting to Cabo in the Summer. We booked our wedding for July 22,2010 and our travel agent said that there is only 1 plane going to cabo from Calgary, AB. Now I'm really concerned that our guests won't be able to come. She also says we need to book right now.....but I don't think our guest can.... ahh.

From Toronto, planes only go to Cabo on Mondays as far as I know..... kind of sucks .....

I experienced the same prob fom Edmonton. My wedding was originally booked for

May 2010, but we had sooo much trouble with flights , we had to change it to March. Apparently it was very difficult to get a flight- I think it was with Sunquest, and it was only out of Calgary and super pricey!! Good luck with everything!!

  • 2 weeks later...

I was part of that whole nightmare last year and it was Conquest who cancelled their flights, not Sunquest! I had booked a vacation with Conquest to go to Punta Cana and our trip was cancelled without warning. Good news is that we got our money back in full.

As for flights going from Toronto, at this time they only do fly out on Mondays direct. My advice is to get your invites out as soon as possible. My wedding is next May and the week I am going is already sold out!! Or ask your travel agent to check how many seats are left for the week you are looking for before you book your wedding date.

Sunquest did it in July because of swine flu ...and apparently some other reasons according to the TA I have spoke with. It was after the whole Conquest thing happened. I have no idea .... I am just scared to book! But also scared that if I don't, Dreams will be booked!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
