Hi Ladies,

Just wanted to let you all know I am hosting a "Lingerie /Girls Party" on Nov 21 at around 3pm at my house in Didsbury (approx 30 mins from Red Deer).

The link below is for the website for this party. Just to give you an idea of what the party offers. If interested in coming let me know. It will be good to see what is available for those of you that are doing a boudior shoots!

Hello Red Deer area brides! I just found this thread. How were the weddings?? It looks like there are a couple that happened this fall since this thread started. Did you end up getting together? I would definitely be interested if it hasn't happened yet. Question for all you Red Deer brides - did you do dress shopping in Red Deer or go to the cities instead? I have heard good things about Elite Bridal in Lacombe - any experience?

Hi Sheri,

We haven't done the meetup yet. I think it's really hard to nail down a date that works for everyone...it's a work in progress wink.gif

I went dress shopping in Calgary so i'm not too sure about the shop in Lacombe. I say it wouldn't hurt to check it out!

Oh FYI to all, as far as alterations I went to this lady named Liliana in Calgary in Kensington (her shop is Liliana's knitwear). She is a European lady who's been altering wedding dresses forever and she's amazing! (prices are great too) Just in case anyone needs a great alteration person. PM me and I can forward you her contact info.

I bought my dress off of someone on Kijiji, but it was in Edmonton! There are some good shops here though, I really loved Elite Bridal in Lacombe, Victoria Lane Bridal (which was kind of expensive) here in Red Deer and Bridal Couture here in Red Deer as well.

The get together has not happened, so maybe we should plan for the new year? How is the middle of Jan. (like the 16th) looking for everyone?

Hi Red Deer (are area!) Brides!

We just moved here about a month ago; loving the city so far! Things have been crazy with a move and wedding planning so I only just found this thread now!

If you guys are still planning a get together, I'd love to meet some girls in the area! We leave this Sunday (Dec 6), so if the meet-up ends up being after then maybe I can shed a bit of light on some things as a post-BDW bride! :)

Is the facebook group still active? I'll send in a request to join!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
