If you do STD now when will you do your invitations? Why not save money and include those in a trifold type invite? Just a suggestion. Use it in your OOT bag if you already bought them.

In your notes did you guys make any reference to the fact that you know its alot to expect people to travel for your wedding and you understand that not all will be able to attend? I feel like I need to address this somehow so that people don't get PO'd by me assuming they'll come to my wedding in Cancun. I think I'm just paranoid :o)

I would actually like to mention something like that too... but I think it'd be better done when actually talking face to face with people.

I agree. Most of the people I'm inviting know that I'm having a wedding in a tropical location. I guess I'm more concerned with those that don't. Mind you I've already assembled and stuffed 75% of my STD envelopes. Now I'm thinking about ripping 'em all open and shoving something else in, LOL.

Umm... yeah, don't do that! I'm sure nobody feels required to go. I would just mention it to people if they talk to you about your wedding.

Do you have a wedding website? I've been very vocal about letting everyone know that there will be NO hard feelings if they can't come. But I also talk about that on our website.

But, we are having 2 AHR's, one where we live and then one where my parents live since much of my extended family is older and won't be able to travel.

I would just make sure family and friends know to spread the word that everyone is invited but everyone is not expected to be able to make it and that that's okay...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
