Ok ladies, so I got my frame and I love it. But what are you guys going to use to pour your sand into the frame? I love the heart shaped vases that come with the sand ceremony kits, anyone know where to find these vases individually? I found the "small" vases that you can order as extras, but I think these are too small?!?!? What do you guys plan to use? Thanks!

I am planning on looking at Michael's or Joann's and see if they have small vases there. Ordering them online seems too expensive. But I'd also love to know what other ppl are using!

We just bought 2 glass jars (the ones with the cork bottle stops) at Michaels. Of course, we forgot our funnel, so we had to make one out of paper 5 mins before the ceremony but oh well.

Ladies, be prepared to have to pour the sand out when you get home and re-do. Bring some sand home with you if you are using beach sand (we used some from Jamaica). We were careful and carried ours on, but just a little shifting and it got all messed up.

Do a test run using regular sand. Or use your own sand, and pour it back into a re-sealable container.

I only want to do this once - can anyone suggest how to get it home in one piece?? Would using a sealant like epoxy or something work, maybe?? Or is it best just to fill it to the brim and let the sand settle??

I figured we'd pour a layer of beach sand in the bottom at the start of our ceremony, then pouring our two colours in layers, then letting it settle for a couple days before pouring more sand in the top before we go to even it out and pack it as full as possible...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
