I purchased my frame from LinensandThings.com. It was shipped within a week and I love it!

Here is the link from Linen and things. I am still undecided if I want to buy that one and alter it or buy the other one. I would need to read threw the DYI instructions better first

You have to glue the glass panels in so they won't move and let the sand shift. I haven't done mine yet but will let you know how it turns out when I do

We used the Umbra Ether frame, filled it about halfway with our 3 colors of sand and then filled the rest with sand from the beach before we left.

I had planned on carrying it on the plane but they wouldn't let me because of the glass so the agent at the AA ticket counter gave me a box and we taped it up and packed it in my checked bag. 

The sand didn't spill but it shifted a bit (even though we packed it down before we left).

 

We used crystal clear caulk on the glass to seal it up.
