Photo Booth

So I was at a wedding this weekend and am totally stealing a great idea they had.

Somewhere in the room the photographer sets up a background (this one used photo paper - on a big roll). There is a table of props - they used boas, hats, stick-on mustaches, etc. People grab probs and have their pictures taken - couples, groups, etc.

Now I'm torn - do I use this idea and NOT put cameras on the table. I think table cameras might be too much and might end up costing more than the photo booth. Thoughts?

I LOVE the photobooth idea. I'm personally not a fan of the cameras on the tables. From what I've experienced in the past (from my brothers and sisters weddings) the majority of those pictures were usually junk. I think you'd get way better pictures with the photobooth. That's just my opinion. Good luck

here are some photographers that have great photobooth inspiration

I have never seen the table cameras work out nicely. Most people have a point & shoot digital camera with them anyway. You usually just end up with rolls & rolls of bad pictures espcially if it's dark. I just got the digital files from all of our guests. Some people mailed me a disc, some uploaded them & other I burnt copies of while home.

a photobooth might be hard to do for a DW. The set up would be a lot to fly with.

I've seen other cute things like a photo guest book. I can't remember who posted it, but their photographer took pictures of guests holding up a marker board with something they wrote on it.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
