Sure, but we weren't and it turned out to be the high point of our trip. There were people at the resort who offered to take us out but we weren't 100% comfortable with them and said no, when what we felt was the right person approached us we said yes. There is no need to leave your resort but if you do just use your own discretion.
Thanks for the great review, Jamy!!! cheer2.gif

I must add that we have befriended a cab driver in Cancun. We have the best time when we hang with him and his family. We've gone to a "local" softball game, bars where only locals go, secluded little taco stands =) and his sons 5 year old b-day party. I would have to say that those times are very high on my most fav things to do in Mexico. He and his family are actually going to attend our wedding. We are very excited to be able to entertain him as he has done for us on several occasions. hijacked.gif Sorry, I just wanted to add to Jamy's "local" adventure!

That is too cool that he is coming to your wedding! How special. I so agree with you. While few things beat relaxing at a luxurious resort and doing nothing, it is always a blessing to be able to get out and see the authentic side of wherever you are. Hmmm....when we make it to Cancun can we borrow your friend? LOL

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
